EXACTLY WHAT THE MAIN TYPES OF FURNITURE CARE PRODUCTS, AND WHICH ONE WILL YOU ADVISE?

There are three fundamental types of furniture preservation programs: plastic products, waxes and polishes. We suggest avoiding plastic products and waxes. While silicone cleansing agents produce a high degree of shine, silicone seeps into even the highest-quality closes, creating a barrier that wont accept stain or lacquer. This makes it almost impossible to re-finish or touch-up your furniture. Waxes should be disregarded because their regular use may cause a build-up of wax film on the surface of the furniture. This build-up could actually attract dirt, smoke cigars and other pollutants in the air, resulting in smudges and streaks. As well, many waxes contain resolution that can permanently affect furniture surfaces if used improperly.

Polishes, which we recommend, contain detergents, emulsifiers and mineral oil. The detergents clean dirt from the furniture, the emulsifiers give it body to clean and last a bit longer and the mineral essential oil is left behind as a barrier for mud and moisture that could harm finishes. There isn't a determination to harm the conclusion, no wax to build up with no silicone to increase the sheen and action as a barrier for touch-up and refinishing.
